At Battersea, we believe we can achieve more together than we can alone. It's why we created Battersea Academy, a place where rescues and animal welfare practitioners can come together for guidance and support on all things dog and cat rescue.
From small volunteer-run shelters to more established animal rescues, we know there are many rescues that go all in for the animals in their care, and we understand the highs and lows that come with it. Battersea Academy brings together like-minded people working in the sector to share their experience and expertise in a relaxed, collaborative setting. Together, we’ll learn from one another about what we can do to have an even greater positive impact on the lives of dogs and cats, as well as the people and organisations caring for them.
We understand that finding free time in your busy schedule can be tough, which is why our collaborative learning opportunities are purposefully designed to fit around your working day. Covering areas such as best practice, career development, animal welfare and resource management, Battersea Academy provides the tools, information and support you need to make your day-to-day working life easier, no matter your role or your rescue.
Our team
The Academy brings together an expert team from across Battersea, who between them have amassed more than 100 years of experience in the animal welfare and veterinary fields.
