Battersea Academy has given us a practical training in best kennelling methods, on improving communications and animal handling and taught us how to increase the adoption rates at our shelter - but more importantly, It’s made us feel guided and mentored; empowered to go back and make the changes we need to make for our animals in India. For that we are extremely grateful.

As a relatively new rescue, the course has been so helpful in guiding our team into having a structured fundraising plan for the next year and moving forward. It has given us some brilliant tools to make a plan.

I’ve been doing this for 23 years and some of the procedures are pretty dated. It’s been enlightening to find out that there are actually simpler and easier ways to actually run a centre.

I enjoyed the whole day - it was a good environment to learn and good to do a bit of (online!) networking too.

My experience at Battersea Academy helped me realise the importance of developing a training programme for our volunteers and influenced the content shared.
Thank you again for this opportunity which has really benefitted our rescues and staff at Save-a-Pet.

I feel more confident and comfortable in terms of our processes to assess, monitor and home with minimal stress to the cat. Being able to discuss in smaller groups and having questions and thoughts addressed by the facilitators was extremely helpful.
