Short Course – Sheltering Resilience & Operations in Emergencies

Disasters and emergencies strike countries and communities regularly and extreme weather events may be increasing in frequency and intensity with the onset of climate change. When this happens existing shelters can be damaged and their operations compromised and/or they can be expected to provide additional service or capacity to their communities.

In addition those whose work interacts with shelters will need to consider how these may operate in times of community crisis or may need to agree different forms of relationship with them when considering sheltering individuals with animals in their care. This course is aimed at all practitioners who may be involved with animal sheltering directly; or the sheltering of humans.

Registration for this short course is only available via Academy Online; book your place or if you do not yet have an account, you can create a new account.
